The Destination
Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Mosi-oa-Tunya — the Smoke That Thunders. One of the seven natural wonders of the world, and the reason this place exists.
When to Visit
Four distinct seasons
- February – May · Peak flow
- The Falls at full force, with towering spray and thundering sound. Expect mist, rainbows and a raincoat.
- June – August · Dry, clear days
- Cool mornings, excellent visibility across the gorge, and prime wildlife viewing at shrinking waterholes.
- September – November · Low water
- Clearer rock faces, calmer river sections, warm days and the best conditions for rafting and swimming spots.
- December – January · Green season
- Afternoon rain, lush landscapes, dramatic skies and the fewest visitors.
